To play, to return to the essence of awakening the senses, to not follow a personal language, to read the language of the material. To take it to the extreme, to dialogue with it, to transform it—these are some descriptions that have accompanied me throughout my life as an artist and jeweler and that fit this moment in my artistic process.

I have a great fascination with Anish Kapoor's work. I don't know why. Maybe because he reminds me of that little girl still inside me, who used to cut papers all over the house, getting scolded as she did so, until one day she discovered that if she cut papers but instead of cutting them completely, she left a piece uncut. This way, papers wouldn't fly onto the floor, there wouldn't be any scolding, and different shapes could come out of a single folded piece of paper.

For me, jewelry is about establishing a nonverbal relationship between the jeweler, the material, and the spirit of the person wearing it.

In this step of my artistic project, I sit in the studio, close all the doors, and confront myself solely and exclusively with the material: silver. I then return to being that little girl fascinated by discovering how a material can be liquid, solid, malleable, visually appealing, capable of being shiny or matte, capable of being used to unite one form with another, exclusive, and chosen by people to wear on their bodies. It touches people's skin, and that intrigues me.

For this project specifically, I dedicated myself to discovering, to exploring, to purposefully making mistakes, in order to create an object that can be placed on another person´s body.
